Eternal rest grant unto Father O'Leary
I am asking for prayers for Father O'Leary, who was called home today to be with our Lord. Father O"Leary was 86 years old and 62 of those years He answered the call of being a Priest.
I can not imagine the number of weddings, baptisms, funerals, communions, anointing of the sick and confessions that Father participated in. The number of masses that He presided at. The number of lives that He touched and helped. I have always said that He was the poster priest for Vocations. He always prayed at every mass for an increase in vocations but more so He was and will always be the idea of what a Priest should be. You just know He was to be a Priest and that His life's Vocation was one of honor and courage. Father O'Leary will be missed by many.
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him,
may he and all the souls of the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God,
rest in peace.
